616 mated to a Ford 5 spd on ebay

It's ending in a few hours, I wish I could afford to have it shipped to MD but I can't

Wisconsin! (I think)

An engine shipper would send it to MD for $300, that's too much for me.

does "mated" mean that he fabricated an adapter plate so they could bolt together? is that hundreds of dollars of work?

Probably more than you think.

I spent $250 at a machine shop (with connections) to have a customized tone wheel made; the finish dimensions are like 3/8 thick and a circle about 8 inches in diameter with some notches cut in the edge and a big hole in the center and 4 bolt holes around the center hole.

It already sold You might be able to contact the seller and have him make up another adapter for you though

A OM616... in an F150... The 4.2L gas was a gutless turd, I don't see how it could get 25mpg, your foot will be through the floorboard all the time just to get up to speed.

I'm gonna go get this tomorrow afternoon. He said with 355 gears it would run 60 in fifth in the f150. It has ford flywheel, starter, clutch etc. He drove it this way for a year.

I have a very nice 617 turbo motor just begging to mate up with this.

Well, if you start making adapter plates, we'll buy them from you!

Iam getting ready to patent and sell four different special tools to the Citroen community, not so much for money, but mostly to slowly finance the purchase of a Bridgeport machine for use in my retirement in four years

Ford makes the best standard trannies in my experience, the 10 bolt top loader 4 spd I had in my 69 mustang was unstoppable. It weighed as much as an auto but half the size .I only used hypo clutch plates due to the horsepower, seemed the right trannie for the job and was never down for service.

Can you duplicate the plate on a piece of plywood and take some photos of the flywheel? I can measure & make up a CAD model of the adapter plate pretty easily.
