Parked next to another W123 300TD

Saw another 300TD at lowes today. Parked next to it and took a pic. Didn't see the owner. I wonder if the owner of that powder blue wagon is a member...

Mine is the darker one on the left.

I wonder what the other guy thought to see another wagon by him/her I always find it fun to try and find the gasser wagons etc when my car ran and park next to them. Every now and then I'll find a note saying cool car etc. it's fun

Ya! That's the reason why I parked next to him/her. Thought it would be a cool surprise.

On the rare occasions I see a 617 diesel, I try to park next to them too.

The powder blue wagon is mine! Nice to meet ya. Glad you can't see how dirty it is in the photo. I looked for a piece of paper or something to leave you a note but I couldn't find anything. Good work detective!

Hello BenCohen-300TD! Nice to meet you too! Nice car. Maybe it was messy inside but your paint job still looks pretty good. My hood and roof is fading. Is that the original paint on the car?

Hi All. The paint is in pretty ok shape, and yes it's original. I'm starting to have a rust problem under one of the windows in the wagon part. (What are these windows called?) It's not a turbo but It's got less than 140K on it. I like it anyway.

And for Blue interior pieces: yes! My interior is in very good shape (despite being full of junk) but every time I touch a piece of plastic in there I break it. I am looking for:

Front seat hinge cover pieces. (broken from when I re-stuffed the seats)
Hatch interior latch backplate thing. (broken from falling out all the time and then one day being stepped on)
Drivers side door pocket, black (broken when I got it)
Some blue carpeting.

I'm usually parked on 7th street between 2nd and 3rd near lowes during the day if you want to swing by and chat. Just knock on the glass garage door next to my car.

See ya!
Ben

Nice!

I sometimes see one at a gas station and will pull in and fill up myself even if I don't need fuel just to talk to the owner. I'm crazy like that.

Here are a couple 300TD's that are within a mile of my house. There are a few more, but they were not home when I was driving around today. I'll take pics of those another time.
