Euro headlight gasket

I purchased some low-spec Euro headlights off of ebay.de. The first one came without issue and in good condition. The second shipper didn't pack it very well and the lens was smashed upon arrival. I managed to find someone in the UK with a NOS lens to replace the broken part. Now I can't find a gasket to put the new lens on the light.

Has anyone been able to order the gasket between the glass lens and the headlight assembly? Anyone tried ordering some gasket material from McMaster?

If anyone has any gasket out of the assembly could you measure it and send me the dimensions?

Lens from the UK? Make sure it's a Euro beam pattern, not designed for right-hand-drive cars!

Holy poo. Never even thought of that. I wonder if someone can check the p/n for me to see if there were truly a separate UK lens.

You can tell from the picture, the "bow tie" is on the other side of the lens.

Yes when facing the lens, the -half - "Bow Tie" is on the right side of the circle for left hand drive cars. The right hand cars the -half - "Bow Tie" is on the left when facing the lens.

Well crap.... looks like I have a perfectly good RH driver's lens. Still in original OEM packaging. I think I might just black out that portion of the lens and use it. Especially as it's such a limited market item I don't think I'm going to be able to sell it.

I still need info on the gasket.

I wouldn't worry about blacking it out. I'd just install it and have someone drive past you on the street to see if it is bothersome. I 'think' though since you have the driver's side, the beam will be pointed towards the middle of the lane.

Remember the tilt of the bulb is different too. I'd shine the light against a flat wall and see if the pattern is objectionable.

Thanks for all the replies.

But can I get help on my original question now?

Does anyone have any information on ordering or creating a gasket between the lens and headlight assembly?
