Interesting followup discussion.
I note that your listing on Ebay has been removed. Perhaps you've decided you don't want to part with it at this time.
I find it interesting to hear that "showroom condition" specimens are being sold (asked for, anyway) at such prices ($15K+).
Mine is probably somewhere in between the $2-3K "beater" and the "showroom condition" ones. 220k miles (original owner was a real estate agent in southern US). It has no rust of any significance, having spent its life in southern US, then last 13 years or so in Canada where it has not seen winters, and has had the chassis oil-treated for good measure. The cruise control doesn't work on it (never investigated it), the AC needs topping up every 2-3 years, tires will need replacing at some point (more due to age than mileage), interior is very clean (carpet in front could use steamcleaning, only a pair of small cracks in the dash). No longer have original radio but could probably retrofit one in (may still have the original in a box). Owned by a single man before me, and was never used as a family car by me, so it's well preserved. Only used by me for casual driving around town, never commuted with it.
SO I'm thinking that if I cleaned it up a bit, waxed the body well, cleaned the engine compartment, I might be able to get a few bucks for it ($6-7K?), if/when I finally decide to part ways with it...
