96 diesel leak, kinda far back

I've not had time to jack it up, and I'm to big to get under it.

I've got a diesel leak and it's almost in the middle of the car, not upfront with the usual suspects. Just forward of the center console or below the Radio. I think it's too far back to be any pumps or filters, more or less center left to right.

Any idea? I'd love to have an idea of my issue before I start. If we think it's a cracked line, I'll just buy some and have it on hand before I get dirty.

I still get upper 20's even 30Mpg on long trips. No powerless.

Don't know if you still have the belly pans in place, but I had a fuel leak that turned out to be the delivery valve seals. Diesel would pool up in the lower pan, in just about the area of the firewall, with no tell tale signs of where it was coming from. A board member recommended cleaning off the top of the injection pump with brake cleaner, and make sure it was absolutely dry. He then advised starting the engine, and to keep running my finger along the top of the pump. Sure enough, within a minute or so, my finger was damp with diesel, without any visible sign of a leak. The fuel would run down the side of the injection pump, and find its way toward the rear of the engine where it dripped down and pooled in the belly pan. Hope this helps....
