95 e300 possible ovp relay dead ok to drive?
I accidentally started my e300 with out waiting for the glow light to stop. After 15 min of driving my instrument cluster went partially dead (no tach, no gas & temp gauge) some of the warning lights does its diagnostic test when starting. AC still runs. Both Ovp fuses are checked good with multimeter. Im guessing ovp relay so I bought one shipped overnight.
Question is, is it ok to drive to work? Will I cause more problem if I drive it like 14 miles?

Not allowing the glow plug light to go out will not cause the issue you are describing. Shouldn't be any issue driving it.

Check battery connections and make sure they're clean. Check the alternator connections and make sure they're clean too. Alternator access on the 95 is easy.

check the fuses in the fuse box, if they are the original silver colored powdery ones - replace them all for a set of ceramic/copper fuses (ebay cheapie) and clean out the holding tangs too.
When those corrode - you will see a set of very strange problems happen to the electrics.
