Seriously, for 13,000 what else could anyone buy in today's world that is both well made and infinitely repairable and has character? I would buy it today for 8,000 and not think twice!

That gear shift knob looks almost like it could be a manual... could it be?!?

Edit: no, only two pedals visible in the last picture. Darn.

Well, I thought the seller wants $13k, not 8K.

There are a lot of MBZ diesel to be had for $13K or $8K. I would never believe a 30 years old car with only 46km or 30k miles. May be Jay Leno's collections.

Thats 13K in Canada i'm assuming. I have no idea what the current exchange rate is so it may be a good deal.

Not anymore. It's working the other way now, though not too badly.

Not sure what the street rate is but I am selling on eBay right now in USD and am losing 5+ percent on each transaction on the money exchange.

A decade ago, different story. When I bought my red Texan SD back in 2002 it was $1200 USD and I paid $1850 to buy the money order for it here in Canada. OUCH.

That's a nice rig, but I agree, I'd prefer a 240D with a 4 speed manual, OR a Euro 300D with a 5-speed manual.

In either event, I am not a fan of the vacuum-controlled climate control.

But, it does look like a really nice sedan.

Be sure to mention that at the bank when they are gouging you for many percent more to actually make the transaction (transfer, buy a cashier's check, etc.).

I said the street, not the board....

I would ask for closeups on the steering wheel

The top portion looks a bit worn from UV and skin oils for that mileage claim.

I agree... the dash cap on mine has a different pattern than the glove box door. Its not noticeable unless you are looking for it.
