Been fighting this error code for the last 3 months. Vacuum lines checked, all Orings on the cross over tubing replaced, electrical connections checked and lubed.

I'm trying to find out what the sensor mounted near the firewall right beside the intake manifold ( drivers side ). Why, coz when I connect it, an additional code p0400 appears and when I dissconnect it, the p0105 is the only error left.

This error message is keeping me from having the darn thing inspected.... and IT's DUE !

The codes you mention can be caused by any one of a number of sensors. There are two sensors on the side of the air intake filter box which have the same part number. One controls the resonance flaps, and the other controls the egr valve. On my model, those two vacuum pressure transducers also receive a signal from an intake manifold sensor that is located on the left wheel well, and has a small black rubber hose attached to the intake manifold. Then there is the actual throttle position sensor itself located near the drivers side firewall. There a also two connection plugs under the intake manifold that have vacuum lines attached controlling the resonance flaps. Those connection plugs are small and it is very easy to damage the wiring. I would inspect all the vacuum lines to make sure they are all intact, then, I would also remove each electrical plug, spray it with electronics cleaner, and reinstall it. ALL but one sensor has been ruled out. The one beside the intake manifold. What is tghis sensor called? The last time this car gave me issues with codes not clearing is with the vacuum line connected to THIS specific sensot. But now, vacuum hoses are good. So Im left with changing out this specific item. I need to find out how to test this item first. It says 5v on top and MITSUBISHI below the benz star emblem ( which I thought was hilarious).
