Quick Hvac vacuum question
I have a slight leak on the green with yellow stripe vacuum line. My heater and AC work great. If I were to plug the green with yellow stripe vacuum line, what would happen? I have absolutely no understanding what vacuum is doing to my Heat/Vent/AC. I have manual AC control. It's a euro.

you'd lose control of where you want the airflow directed

Ahh so it controls the flaps? Interesting! I thought I was manually flipping over the flaps with the slider since it felt like it had some resistance/heft to them...

you know, on the manual control... that slide lever might not be connected to any vacuum pods... but i guess the defrost/floor control is still vacuum

actually i may have it backwards. fresh air might be controlled by the vacuum and everything else might be manual, thinking of my friends 240D with vacuum issues and the fresh air switch doesnt work on it, but the other controls do

You know what... I'll just block off the vacuum line temporarily and see what happens. The fresh air slide lever and the defrost/foot control both have a stiffness to it that feel like I'm flipping it manually. Could be my imagination.
I'll try it tomorrow and will report back.
