Uro Window Regulators: Any Good?

All window regulators working on all three cars.....for now. But it's only a matter of time.....

Does anyone have any experience with Uro window regulators? They're so much less expensive....thought it might be worth taking a chance on them if they're half decent.

Uro equals not quality by definition. I won't by any used car that's been serviced with Uro parts; its inviting certain future failure. Why devalue you car unnecessarily?

Why not ask the Seller what country the Regulators are made in; just for fun. That lets the Seller know that people care about where Parts are made.

I have URO Radiator Hoses and Motor Mounts on my Car. The Motor Mounts have been on for 4+ years.

I have URO Lower Control Arm Bushings and Upper Control Arm and have had no issues for the 3 years they have been on the Car.

I might not even drive 5,000 miles per year.

At least in the W210 chassis, the problem with the window regulators, 995 times out of a thousand, is the little plastic slide that breaks (it joins the two ends of the cable).

This holds true regardless of the brand of the replacement regulator, and it doesn't much seem to matter if the name is one you haven't heard, one you think (and usually is) is garbage, or is $134 from the dealer parts counter. (BTW, the Dorman is made in China, too, which is just horribly sad.)

Some owners (myself included) have replaced just the slide by modifying a different part, it's covered in Yacht Master's great DIY at BenzWorld in the W210 help stickies. It involves quite a bit more work, but thus far {knocks on wood while typing} those who have gone this route haven't had another failure.

Again, I can't and won't speak to any other chassis, but this holds true for the W210.

Regarding URO generally, if you have a daily driver, I wouldn't use any of their parts that are actually functional. Cosmetic stuff (like the replacement gasket for the roof antenna on the 208/210 -- which isn't separately available anyway -- is okay if it's easy enough to change when it pukes again.
