My '80 TD(NA) has no factory radiator expansion tank. SLS pump is on the head....I see no evil climate servo so thats a PLUS!!

But this engine speedboat appear to have an sls pump in the head. Which makes me sad. No sls means a giant can of worms that I'd have to desk with.

Giant can of worms? Not necessarily.
Do you plan to tow with it, or carry heavy loads? If so, then I agree it would be preferable to have the SLS in place. Otherwise I would base my opinion of the car on how it performs with whatever setup it has installed. You aren't going to find the SLS proponents on this list advocating a pieced-together non-SLS setup. Neither will you find the SLS-delete folks telling you to stick with the SLS. If you want first-hand experiences on the delete options I would start another thread specifically asking for that, and inviting folks to send you private messages. Not everyone wants to get into a hairy debate on stuff on the board itself. I am currently fixing my SLS setup only because I may use my TD to tow. Otherwise I would dump it in a heartbeat as I need my wagon-back for space for dogs, little else, on a normal basis.
