30mm 12-point star deep socket for tailshaft housing bolt removal -- part number?
For swapping tailshaft housing on an '83 300sd transmission.
Can anyone confirm the part number from SIR Tools? They list one online as BMW 3025 but their tech guy told me on the phone that he is "pretty sure" it's the required one. He says it measures 66 mm (about 3 inches) in the actual socket section. The only socket they actually list for Mercedes TS removal is listed as for 190 series only and is significantly less deep. Also if anyone has one for sale/rent, drop me a PM please.... Thanks.
