removing blower motor from cage method

i have a 126 blower motor that i removed the cage from and bought a new motor.... i did this using a dewalt screw gun tip (quick change)and soaked it in pb blaster for two days and cleaned any rust off with a brush. and then rubbed astroglide on the tip... the cage popped off after 10-12 light taps.. i supported the bottom of the cage all the way around with wood so the cage would not crack....

now is the interesting part cause the hitting of the top rubbed off my marks to reinstall the cage in the same position on the new motor(if you are going to try this i would scratch a line in the cage and motor tip.... now i just need some luck to find the exact balanced position... anyone have a tip on that....

UPDATE on y blower motor.... I got it in the mail today... it cost 77 bucks for a bosch motor... The cage popped on very easy with some lube on the shaft... i used a 7/16th inch closed end wrench and tapped it in with a hammer softly... i had the motor rested on my carpet in my living room to dampen it... All in all it cost me 77 bucks for a new blower that works awesome and doesnt smell like old fish like my last behr motor did. Im shocked there are so many people wandering about this swap it was one of the easiest things i have yet done on the car... perhaps searching for brushes is a hobby for some people...

Where did you order the $77 Bosch Blower Motor From?

As far as fixing the Motor goes when I looked at mine I found that the crimped connection between the Brush and Motor Wires had I guess corroded and was not allowing conduction. I soldered over it and the Blower Stopped working.
A lot of time some careful polking around and observation pays off$

Also; if I could pay $20-$30 at ACE Hardware for Brushes and save $47+ Dollars to get my Blower working I would do that.

In case someone had a Siemens Blower Motor Like me the can go to a Bosch Motor Thread and compare the pics:
