W124 Blower Motor -- Fuse?
My Dad's car - 1987 W124 -- The blower motor for the A/C is not working. I believe this is the same motor for the heater, but not sure. The fuse box indicates there may be an additional "External" fuse for the blower motor somewhere else. Any one know where that might be? Anything else I should check?
Thanks!! Kevin

The external blower strip fuse is typically located on the drivers side strut mount in the engine compartment. Just flip the black lid and you should see a short length of silver fuse material. Inspect closely, as these can develop tiny fissures that won't pass current, but look perfectly intact.

Here is a whole thread on me soldering my blower fuse. (As auspumpen says, mine looked perfect until I unscrewed it, and it was broken cleanly with a hairline break.) Quite a discussion... My local NAPA did not have these fuses in stock so I ordered a few of them from NAPA. Took a few days to come in, but my soldered fuse worked just fine until I replaced it.
