w123 rear calipers

What's the most common rear calipers for w123's? Ate? Bendix? What years/model uses what?
Which is a better caliper?

Called Pepboys. Interesting they show rebuild kits for Teves and Girling calipers but not Bendix or Ate. Did Mercedes also use Teves or Girling calipers?

I mostly see ATE for the rears and fronts in the local wrecking yards and the cars I have owned. If the car is 1984 or 1985 more often or not it is Bendix.

I've seen Girlings, but have not run across Teves. But I've heard they are out there.

Personally, I like ATE calipers.

I like the ates better because of the pin anchoring system. the others seem to last just as long. I often just replace a stuck one with a used one from my rather extensive inventory. they seldom seem to go bad.

FWIW, my vote is for ATE/Teves. They seem easier to work with and more durable than Bendix.

Use either, just make sure they are the same on each axle.
