1984 300D Light Ivory unique car

Well, folks. I picked this car up a few weeks ago and I was sure it had a leaking fuel tank. There were 4 holes in the trunk metal cover plate (against fuel tank) and the big gauge wires cutoff above. I was certain an audio amplifier of some type had previously been installed "incorrectly".

Today, I dug into this car. Removed the cover against the fuel tank and behold, no hole in the fuel tank. Hmmm..... I know I smelled diesel in the trunk when I went to test drive the car. And it was even wet in the trunk with an oily feel --- feels like diesel, you know. So, I'm looking at the other side, and behold the fuel filler compartment drain hose is off. The hose appears too short and I can't get it back onto the fuel filler compartment drain nipple.

Any ideas on how to reconnect the hose? Do I replace the hose?

Unique?

Sorry folks. I forgot to tell you why this Light Ivory 300D is unique. Oh, a picture is worth a thousand words. I guess I need new seat covers. Can I just buff those cracks out?

Hmmm... Will have to ck the color codes. Everyone should know by now that I don't do "color". Are there really more than 7 basic colors??

There was a yellow 300D in Chatt. The owner said it would cost $800 to repair the drive shaft. He didn't have any wrenches & was asking ~ $1700. That was his only complaint & I think even AC worked.

Metal code plate

Okay, gurus, here are 3 pics that should provide all the answers --- VIN plus 2 of the under the hood metal code plate. I canNOT run the VIN on the Russian website.

I did a search on PeachParts for the paint/trim codes, but my searching abilities are hampered this morning.

My 82 300D has the Light Ivory/Henna (tex) combination, which is my favorite, probably because I can't imagine it looking nearly as good on any other car.

It's been referred to as "yellow" on more than one occasion....
