Pretty sure it is the pump

Put it up on ramps, and ran it another 30 min or so, and noticed a few drops of coolant hanging off the front of the oil pan, and also that nothing dripped on the passenger side of the engine where the freeze plugs are believed to be.

Towards the end of this last test, it was dripping at about 1 drop per second off the front of the motor, so i guess that nails it on the water pump as the culprit.

Thanx everyone for all the help and suggestions.

Feel around under the water pump with your hand to see if it is wet.
..................... (With the engine turned off)........................

Check the short By-Pass hose under the Thermostat housing to see if it is weeping. that is one hose often over looked, the hose gets old and doesn`t get changed because of the pita it is to replace it. the hose will weep when cold, and then quit when the coolant heats up and the hose expands.

I agree with Kerry about not hearing about freeze plugs leaking.
