Rear seat belt jammed

I couldn't find this problem using the search forum, so I'm asking here - how does one un-jam the rear seat belt on a W210? The '97 E300 I'm looking at has the rear passenger's side belt jammed so it's about halfway out. Tugging on it didn't seem to help when I drove the car again today. Are the innards easily accessible or is this a real PITA?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I have the same problem, and some posters indicated they had success by driving the car, and through happen-stance, it became operational again. In my case, that remedy failed, but I was able to feed the belt back in 1/2 an inch at a time, but I could not pull it out once it retracted. I don't believe the belt mechanism is made to be repaired, but I could be wrong. As for it being a PITA, from the looks of it, it will require a little work to get the belt out, and I could find no posts regarding what to do to make a repair once you get the belt out. Good luck
