Lemfoerder Ball Joints....Good ones to use?

Hi, Im replacing the ball joints on my 87 300D and I am looking at getting Lemfoerder's, I think I heard at one time that they are pretty comparable to the factory ones. Any thoughts or advice?

x3 Lemfoerder is the only way to go unless you buy OEM from the dealer.

I installed them on my 300SD and 420SEL with great results. Made in Germany and very high quality.

Lemforder _IS_ OE , look for the owl in the triangle on your old joint / boot.

TRW is the other OE brand I've also seen.

The Moog ball joints I recently got were Lemforder.

Just saw the same thing with a Ford. Paid extra for genuine Motorcraft. Opened the box and a TRW control arm came out.

I ordered the lemfoerder's yesterday,
I have known about the problem for a few months, it started out by squeaking when I would turn the wheel and the steering felt a little stiff, when I inspected it, I noticed that the rubber boot was torn, so I sprayed some PB blaster on the joint and it would quiet the noise and soften up the steering for a few days, once the noise came back, I repeated the process. I realize it was just a bandaid, as time went on I would also notice that when I would hit a bump or dip in the road my steering wheel would pull to one side just for a second. then last week while inspecting my tires I noticed that the front tire with the bad ball joint is just starting wear a tiny bit more on the inside, only on the one tire though ( I think the bad ball joint is messing with my camber). so I figured before I really damage my nice tires, I should replace the worn parts. rotate the tires, ( I have to flip them on the wheels because I have directional tread ) and then pay a visit to the alignment shop.

I got my Lemfoerder ball joints installed and WOW, what a diff. that made.
I also had the Lower rear outer control arm bushings replaced also. between both of those things wore out, my car was driving like crap, "squeak squeak" over bumps and around turns. now its like butter. Im so happy!!!!!!!!
Im going in for an alignment and tire rotation tomorrow, since I have directional tires they will be flipping them on the rims before the rotation that way the direction stays the same.

Did the car hit hard on dips with bad ball joints?
