I have an 84 300D and the your pic and mine do not match up.
On mine it looks like it will come off and you can even buy a new screen.

Can you post a pic of where it goes on the Oil Pump itself.

You ought to post your year and model.

It could be the other owner over did jacking the Engine up using the Oil Pan and replaced the Oil Pan so it had no dents.
My Pan was dented and had the marks of the Oil Pick Up on it so someone pushed the Pan right up against it but did not damage it.

As much as I love to use JB Weld on stuff I do not think that it is up to that.
At least not without some other added support.

I am not there to see the Details but it might be possible to degrease the area and have it Tach Welded really well and use JB Weld on the exterior to seal it.
It would be better if the Oil Pump ws out of the Engine for that or if you have Auto Club type free towing to a Welding Shop.

It could be if the Oil Level is high enough (over fill it 1 qt) and you drive only flat Roads the Oil Pump would function normal as long as the suction side is under Oil.
But, you would have no screen.

On mine part #64 is a seperate Part and you may be able to buy one. Don't know if that is something they would stock.
