Hit in the parking lot!

Well it happened. I was hit while parked at Barnes and Noble (That'll teach me to read!) They pushed the rear above the bumper in a few inches and now the trunk doesn't open right. It's tough to see in the pictures but the left brake light no longer lines up with the trunk and there is a big kink in the plastic. It looks like they hit just to the left of the license plate.

They left no information (people suck). And unfortunately there were no cameras. I have started a claim with my insurance so I'll see how that goes...

Do you guys think I should do anything else?

Thanks Chad, with any luck I'll have a harrowing story of how I jumped through hoops with the insurance company for the get together!

Aggravating. Sorry to hear about it. At least they did not damage the trunk lid. Looks like a beautiful car.

It's become a GD epidemic. Everywhere you go, some DB is driving like an idiot. Avoiding an accident has become more than a full time occupation.

I managed to extract $850. in small claims court for a DB who sideswiped the SD because she clearly had to get past the SD faster than the SD could merge from the ramp into the right lane.

Of course, the damage is close to $1500............

My condolences to the OP...........sadly, this is just the beginning.

My thoughts exactly. I think it is cell phones and texting and a general dumbing down of the driving population. I have become extremely cautious and defensive while driving. I give people a lot of space and do not get nearly as close to the car in front of me as I used to.
