87 300TDT - Drivers Door Lock

Good Day! My driver's side door lock is not functioning properly. I can lock the doors (yes they all lock and unlock) but only if I hold the lock down.

I removed the vacuum actuator to see if it was having problems. The vacuum actuator seems to travel approximately 1 inch while the rod which connects to it from the lock mechanism only travels approximately 1/2 inch. I have included 2 pictures of the actuator. Picture 1 is straight while picture 2 is from below.

I have not been able to find accurate pictures of the vacuum actuator for the 87 300TDT. Is this the correct part? Any ideas why the lock would travel a shorter distance?

I also removed the "white thing" covering the vacuum actuator. I was unable to find the name of this part. I was also unable to identify how to re-install it. Does anyone have a procedure for its re-installation? :-)

Lastly, I broke the clip that holds the bar which runs from the door handle to the lock mechanism. Can you please point me to where I can purchase this piece?

Thank You In Advance for sharing your knowledge!!! Have a Great Day!
