Drip shield on underside of W126 300SD
I did an oil change on my '96 E300D this weekend and discovered why there's never a spot of oil under the car -- mine has a plastic drip shield under most of the car. This strikes me as a great idea, and I was wondering if it would be possible to retrofit something onto an older diesel like my '83 300SD. Has anyone done anything like this?

Answer
Yes, it is possible to fabricate this for any vehicle.
A local friend makes commercial HVAC duct work, and fabricated belly pans for all of his family cars to keep the driveway clean. .
