99 e300 sunroof question
 

hey

i know there are tons of threads on this but i need something clarified

my sunroof is intermittently sticking, works perfect half the time then every once in a while it only goes forward or back 3 inches at a time

i am trying to tell if the covers have been replaced to the 2 screw ones or not

my question is, can i see this just standing in the door frame looking down on the sunroof open or does something have to be taken off for me to see this part?

without taking anything off i think i see a part that looks similar to the parts in some of the videos, but i am not sure it is the right one

please clarify for me if i have to remove the front plastic cover and the side covers from inside the car to see this part or not

and does anyone have a good pic of this part and where it goes, etc

i have watched some of the videos and done a lot of searches and i am still not understanding, sorry to be a pia
