Monark Injector Nozzle Install Video
Hello all,
I received my new Monark nozzles yesterday and I went ahead and rebuilt all 5 spare injectors last night. I am VERY impressed with these nozzles. The pop-off pressure and spray pattern are perfect. I bought a shim kit but I didn't need to use any shims; all the injectors are within 50PSI of each other. I made a series of videos on how to rebuild an injector with a new nozzle. I will post these to YouTube and provide links in this thread. It was getting late last night and I didn't have time to process the videos. I hope this will help someone. |
I am excited to see the videos, so thanks for taking the time to do that. I missed out on picking up new monark's last week, but I will be more vigilant if they ever get stock again. Given how fast they sold out, I am surprised that Ebay isn't full of "re-sold" or "flipped" nozzles. I only found a few folks selling rebuilt injectors for ~$300. I would rather spend $100 and do it myself. Thanks again.

In the US there is a lack of Nozzle choices. Made in India Bosch Nozzles that cost more than the Monark Nozzles, Bosio Nozzles that cost almost x2 as much as Monark Nozzles or Monark Nozzles made in Germany that are the least expensive of the bunch.

Is anyone on the forums merchandising the Monark nozzels?
Individuals ,NOT KB.

Eaton,
Amazing timing, I did the same thing (5 injectors in a 1985 617, installing Monark needles); finished last weekend. I have some observations about differences in what we did:

I think you are allowed up to $150 worth of stuff before you have to pay Coustoms Duty. Keep your Paper Work so you can show what you paid. |

... ...this thread just died ? I was hoping to 'hear' the outcome. But mostly: How do the new nozzles make a difference ? Better performance/power ? Or better mileage ? (Before ? & after ?) If anyone ever measured it, then it would be really nice to know the figures, and if I should invest in the effort and parts. Thanks |
