hi all new to forum,
Have a 602 .940 5 cyl in the 410 T1 chassis.in a Hymer motorhome
normally aspirated ,60k miles.owned from new
It starts First time every time but starts to miss and smoke on one cylinder until warm.sometimes reappears when warm idling.
Reving the engine loses most of the problem.
I have swapped injector at offending cylinder and problem stays with cylinder.
I have replaced copper washers and o rings on delivery valves, no change.
I have not disturbed delivery valves.
It pulls like a train up hill, down dale, when good.
but was missing when I stopped for fuel and started up with no miss.
compression seems good.power is still there when not missing.
very occasional nailing does not change regardless of pedal position.
very occasional tappet noise like a lazy lifter(since new)
Any ideas?
