Doesnt that seem..high? Hm well I guess not, my dad's gets 25/26 on his commute..

it could be attained. I did a super slow road trip and my mileage came out to 29 mpg. My mixed has ten getting up to the 27 mpg arena but its mostly at 25 average. I never believed anyone who claimed they got that kind of mileage but its true, it can be done.

I have had very good luck with my system, find the EPA or Transport Canada figures for city and highway, ((city X 2)+highway)/3. It almost always comes up with a figure very close to real world fuel mileage.
Just for kicks, the last time I figured out mine, (averaged over 3 tanks of fuel), it came up just shy of 30 mpg Imperial, (29.83) which works out to 24 mpg US. Mixed city / highway driving, I don't think that's shabby for 295000 miles on the odometer. (It doesn't like to start below O C, and I prefer not to mention the blowby. It doesn't "teakettle" the cap, it relocates it ) |

Well, I know from personal experience that it's possible.

That was excellent mileage in its day when many American cars never saw 10 MPG and could barely go up a hill.
