If you have an MW Fuel Injection Pump just go to the Junk Yard and get another delivery Valve Holder.

Identify what type of Pump you have maybe some one has a Delivery Valve Holder they will sell.

I know Hunter had a pic posted years ago where he had severl no good MW Pumps.

Don't forget to replace the Copper Crush Washer.

well if i can just change them out i got an old pump off the first engine. the knocking in my engine comes and goes now. its gone after i do some major fuel system work but comes back the longer it goes with out work. could this be burning out that injector? it was so burnt that i had to knock it on something to get it to fall out. the pin fell out of it first or i would have been more careful. the injector bodies i used had set for so long that they started to rust so i clean them off as best i could. the engine ran like crap and smoked for 5 minutes tell i took it for a test drive and drove it like i stole it no more smoke and the knocking went away tell it got cold. any ideas on how to get this random injector knock to go away?

When you pull the Delivery Valve Holder off of the other Fuel Injection Pump look insde of it and see if it has the same inside dimensions of the original.

You know what IT you are talking about. I can only guess from the next sentance you are speeking of the Nozzle Pintel/Needle.

You did not say to what extent the Injectors were rebuilt or if it was a Fuel Injection Shop that did the Rebuild or yourself?

If you did the rebuild yourself and did not keep the Pintel/Needle with the Injector Nozzle the Pintel came out of you can have that sticking issue. Also the Pintel will not be seated to the Nozzle and it will not seal well when the Injector is closed.

Part of what you are saying; if the Car sits for a long time it misses when it gets going could be an Air Leak. If it happens less when yout Fuel Tank is full or if you pump the Hand Prime maybe 50 strokes or so before you start and it runs well after that; there is a good chance you have an Air leak.

Low compression, Valve Timing, Fuel Injection Pump, Glow Plug issues can all cause knocking until the Engine is hot.

well my benz is one of the ones taken care of, but it set for so many years that it fell apart. I dont know how long the new engine set with out being ran, but the compression is low. i think that oil is being dumped into my exhaust manifold some how, bad head maybe? At this point she's just that car gets good gas mileage sometimes.
