Alan,

News on another deal I've got in the works will be coming shortly....I'll update that other "found my car" thread when anything/something happens.

It's an '85 300SD with ABS and airbag

The C123 1985 300CD 123.153 chassis unit held by me, also
having the OM617.952 turbodiesel engine, has a factory air
bag steering wheel although now disconnected. It is a No
American USA car, too. The car doesnt have antilock brakes.

Apparently the 1985 airbag wheel was unique to the entire run
particularly in its outward appearances, as discussed by
Dr Easley. The 1985 bag was not sculptured rather raised
with no facisimile horn images. It has a plain exterior facia.
The drawn hilt of the bell housing is more shallow, too.

Most informed viewers of the car remain intrigued by its
equipment vargarities; all of which original.

Airbags....

In 1989 or 1990 it was dual airbags standard in the W126.

Must have been after 1990. My 10/89 '90 300SEL has only the one in the wheel....no pass side.

For Jethro Tull -

I also have a 1991 W126 model and it has only one air bag;
the driver's position. I have seen both examples of the W126,
some with one air bag only and others with both. I've no idea
what rhyme nor reason would dictate why one model gets
full air bag equipment yet another in the exact same model year
would not. Strange, considering it is a safety item.

If it is a 560 and a 300 it is something that I would understand because of the fact the 560 being the flagship and most expensive.

passenger airbag was option

'91 350sd(l) models had driver bags as mine does and passenger airbags in this last year of the 126 were optional per my owners manual.
