616 manifold Stud
Exhaust/intake manifold stud at front of engine is stripped & stuck in block. Before I unleash destructive powers-
M8 x 1.25? NAPA stud of appropriate pitch & dia or special mercedes part needed. Heat it, bend over & twist mightily w/ +1 Vorpal Visegrips to remove?

On my 617.952 the end of the Stud that goes into the Block only has 4 full treads on it. If yours is the same I would not expect too much of a struggle.

My favorite machinist has a stud extractor which works like a charm.
If you can find a stud with the right threads it will be fine whether mercedes or not. If you need a good used one I can supply along with a large selection of other folks as well.

Hi
The exhaust studs are M10 X 1.5. Older 240Ds have M8 X 1.25 studs to hold the chain tensioner, but your 83 uses bolts there. The front most exhaust stud has a over all length of 42mm, the next 4 are 65 mm long.

Hot wrench then extractor on 2' bar. AOK
