Replacing tensioner 616
The tensioner on my 77 engine is original and seems to be going out and I just wanted to try replacing it with the one from my dad's 83 engine that has been replaced at least once in the past 33 years. Anything special I need to do to just swap it over? I don't want to worry about changing the chain and guides yet cause I want to try something simple before tearing the engine apart. I have new gaskets for the thermostat housing, water pump, and tensioner, should there be anything I need to be aware of when trying to change it? Seems like it should be straight forward but I'm not to well versed on engine work.

Replaced the tensioner. The old one was noticeably less stiff but there was still noise. Seems to be coming from the water pump, which was replaced with a new Graf pump ordered from Pelican in November. Going to try to get a refund/replacement, I expected better from Graf.
