Cruise Control Actuator Interchangeability

Hi guys,

I have a simple question about cruise control actuators: can one from a gas engine car like a 380SE be used in a Diesel car like a 300SD? What are the year cutoffs and model differences. I want to try replacing my actuator and if I can get one cheap enough, I might have cruise working. My amp has been rebuilt already. I tested the terminals that connect to the amp and all is good. Stalk works and the brake light cutoff is not on.

I don't know much about car wiring so I want to try to replace and pray.

EPC is your friend in need

Use EPC to compare the part number of your actuator to other cars. EPC gives you the option of inputting a part number without car information; it will then tell you which models the part fits. EPC subscriptions are free to all Texicans and also to all residents of the Lesser 49 States.

I checked the part numbers on another site AZ and they were the same in the 300SD and 380SE. I might try to get one out of that wrecked 380SE I raped the wood from.

Yes, all the cruise control actuators should interchange with each other.

I just pulled up 0025458632 which is an actuator and the EPC said that pretty much ever 123/124/201/126.etc was compatible
