changing transmission fluid in 300 D need help with torque requirments

Can anyone tell me if the DIY for the 722.6 tranny on the website is the same as the 722.315? would like to drain TC, change filter gasket, etc. I donot have the service manual, transmission for the car (tranny 722.315 85 300D). Can anyone tell me the torque requirements for the pan/filter tc drain bolt?

Thanks again.

drain bolt / torque/pan 14 both (722.3) ,.. gasket 7-8

for the 722.6 goes 8/10/15/20 depending the exact model

That's 7-8 Nm which is about 62 lb-in. I can just about slip my arm through the center hub of a MB wheel, I'm that wimpy, and I can overtighten a tranny pan bolt with a screwdriver. Since the gasket compresses as you tighten, evenness is the name of the game. Get all the bolts started and snug each one a little at a time to make sure you don't overdo one corner. If you set one corner to spec, it'll be over spec when you get the rest of the bolts to spec.

Thank you so much for the advice!
Can wait to get started on several projects, this being one of them.

Thanks again.

As I understand it, the 123.133 didn't have a 722.6xx.

As I understand it, the question was whether DIY instructions for a 722.6 were applicable to a 722.3.
