AC compressor pulley- 82 300cd
I have an 82 300cd that squeals when the AC is turned off. I know that the noise is coming from the pulley itself, specifically the bearing inside it. The car has been converted to 134a and blows nice and cold, but whenever I turn off the AC, or it cycles off because of the ACC, it starts skreeching. Is it possible to replace the bearing on the pulley? I have a 300d with the AC compressor disconnected electrically (The belt is still on). I tried to find the whole pulley at the local parts house, but they couldn't get it, Is it possible to yank the pulley off the 300d and put it on the 300cd? Not sure that it works, but at least it doesn't squeal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can remove the clutch and pulley for replacement but will require some special tools.
Harrison R4 AC Compressor Repair Tutorial Yes if it is an R4 on the parts car and on your CD, it should fit. .

An insufficient clutch air gap can also cause such a noise.
