And I thought the local yokel with the old Dodge Dakota with twin chrome stacks sticking up through the bed was lame.

Why do I get the feeling that the seller has been running all kinds of dirty crap through the fuel tank?

I seriously doubt that the stack and modified exhaust system would pass state inspection in PA. It would:

1) Obstruct your view.
2) Get soot on the windshield.
3) Get exhaust in the cabin.

No to mention that it is just downright ugly.

If birds nested over night you would now in the morning. It must be nice to smell your own car exhaust ,the more you cough the more you let off the gas.I believe all car manufacturers had it right from day one ,exhaust fumes makes test driver very dizzzzzeyy, check.

I saw a Dodge Dakota with "stacks" on it the other day in one of our more working-class neighbourhoods. It was smoking like crazy and I assumed the guy did a diesel swap- nope, once I got closer I could smell the unmistakable smell of unburned gasoline. People are stupid.

Poor car. Looks like mine minus the silly hood stack. The interior is surprisingly nice looking. Smokes just a little...

Looks like a real country bumpkin mod shop there.
