EGR was totally plugged. Looks like a lot of oil coming from upstream of where it mixes with intake air. Either turbo seal or crankcase breather hose although, I don't find much in the turbo inlet.
Also, I found two (yellow and green) orifice vacuum restrictors in the alda line. I believe the green may be restricting the boost to alda after checking at points along the line. I'm wondering if the green one is correct. Problem still exist. Boost dropped to nothing after a couple of miles. Key off and it reset. I'm condemning the turbo. Surprised the rods are not bent. |

It was brought to my attention that Jim Forgione's DTC list isn't the right list for a 140.134. The right list says #5 is a fault with the EGR transducer or EGR flow, #7 is a fault with the engine ring gear which I translate to be the engine rpm signal to the EDS. Is the tach working?
I've never seen any filters or dampers between the manifold and ALDA. Those are usually on vacuum lines, not pressure lines. Sixto 87 300D |
