Another 50% Sale at PNP

This coming Labor Day weekend is another 50% sale at PNP.

Starting Fri - Mon. If you have the Tool Kit rewards card, you get in on Thurs to beat the rush.

Checking to see what they have in the inventory from my Zip code and unlimited milage.

26 300D 79 - 85 between 20 - 85 miles. in 12 various yards. 8 of those are 85`s with the 2:88 Diff.

17 240D 74 - 83 between 20 - 185 miles. in 10 various yards.

Rust free for the most part unless they are imported from the far east where they salt the roads.

Charlie

Charlie,
How many of those yards will you hit this weekend?
I usually just go to the four nearest me.
Happy Hunting!

Maybe 3. starting in the SJ south first. If someone hasn`t screwed with a certain car I saw a few days ago I may be in that yard all day.

SJ north, and then the Mowery yd. was thinking of driving to Sacramento to check the Rancho Cordova yd. that is a 3hr drive, but might swing by to see Sirnik84, and have an In and Out Burger. last time I was there he made a few calls and about 10 people showed up, kind of a mini GTG.

I wish I had that many MB diesels in the yards around here. These yards are pretty barren.

Hey Charlie, if you find a set of black early style floor mats that are in good shape would you snag them for me. Just the upper mats not the molded, sound insulated carpets that cover the floor.

Charlie,
What are you looking for? I'll take a look-see for you.
I'm swinging by the Rancho PNP sometime today to
scope it out. One mile from my work and I'm self-employed

Andrew it seem most of the top mats are missing by the time I get there, and black seems to be the most rare. maybe we can get there on the endangered list? Iam always on the lookout for Black as well as my 85 has the blk int. I`ll keep an eye pealed for you.

Jeff, not looking for any one thing, just everything.

Iam always looking for 4-spd trans from 240`s and related parts for swaps. looking for the overhead tan panel the dome light mounts to from a 300D to up grade the 240D one. but looking for one the vinal hasn`t started sagging and releasing from the glue.

Wish I knew that last week Charlie! My parts car had a good one but it is now at the scrap yard.

If you're heading up this way I could press in those ball joints for you... I'll be swinging by the fairfield PnP probably. Need to find some items for the w126 we just got for my sister. Need a decent palomino front seat and some sun visors. If you guys see some up in the sacramento area let me know, thats not too far of a drive to make a parts run!

Someday I'm going to lose a spring perch on that road leading to the Newark yard. Do you ever see that pink foam stuff blowing off the salt ponds or whatever they are on the north side of Mowry?

My Indy loaned me his BJ press and I got it done. You junked it with good parts. At least I got the fuel tank out of it, sure increased the range of the 240. Fueled up in Lathrop, and drove all the way to Portland on 18+ gallons.

Nice, I just remembered you were able to borrow one and were going to try the vice tool. Glad that tank worked out for you. Those 240's sure to get good mpg.

I think I pulled just about every other part out of that car that I thought I could use. I almost pulled that piece to! Oh well... I knew as soon as it was gone I would realize there was something I might have wanted to keep.

Just remembered something else I need to look for at the PnP. If I find a good v-belt clutch sanden 508 I might have to pick it up for my car. Just got my install kit from ROLLGUY so for $20 I might chance a used compressor. New ones are $150-200 from what I've found online/locally.

If you head up this way on Sunday Charlie let me know. If people are going to get together in Sac area I might drive up since there are more PnP's around.

Slow down or you will loose your car in one of the bomb craters. they are deep enough in the winter you could drown in one of them.

Never seen the pink foam, might be blowing in from the injected pink foam Mc Donalds puts in the Mc Nuggets.

Sure a long ways out to where the Mercedes are, need to pack your lunch and a gallon of water just to get there.

What, you don't take your Segway to the PnP?

The darn wheelbarrow handles are to far apart for my short arms. They should have 4 wheel pull wagons.

Oooh, I might just have to see what is new in the yards near me. I know there is an SD in one of them last time. I wouldn't be opposed to picking up a second engine and transmission to have as a spare but I don't really have room to store it living in an apartment. I do need to find a PS pump to transfer WMO, though.

Let me know if you plan a gathering at Mowry or one of the San Jose lots. I need to work on my tan.
