Well done so far Pelican boys!

Three cheers for the Pelican boys!

I think you're all doing a grand job.

I like the new look (even though there's now a tab for that Anglo-German bastard love child the mini!).

I was a bit concerned that the forum contributions => the DIY articles <= were being swept aside but now I've found the link I can see that the contributions from the forum are still being included and (hopefully?) appreciated.

FYI

Please note the nice change to special tools, and how they display.

Wow they do look nice - and with the price next to the tool now!

But it took me ages to find them.

Click on "Accessories" and then choose "tools" and then "Mercedes special tools".

It is going to take me a while to get used to it I guess!

Thanks for the kind words. I know that some people don't like change, but we're putting the same focus and attention to detail that we have placed on our Porsche & BMW sites into Mercedes these days. Tech articles, the support of this forum, the most comprehensive Mercedes catalog on the Internet (and adding more parts every day), combined with Pelican's back-end customer support. I hope you guys will see - we think it's head and shoulders above anyone else. No one else out there supports the Mercedes market in a proper fashion.

I made a bunch of changes / fixes on the search engine yesterday to fix some of the minor bugs mentioned previously in this thread. We also changed the headers on the early Mercedes cars - yesterday's lack of clarity was a bit embarrassing!

Thanks for everyone's patience and continued support!

-Wayne

Look at them closely, they don`t have the plastic piece that protects the Light Alloy wheels. that is an outstanding price if they are the right one`s.

What is the OEM part number on these? I can look it up, but I'm at home right now, and I don't have EPC access from here at the moment.

thx

Part # for the Hub Cap clips with the Nylon protectiors. A123 400 00 27

This the light Alloy wheel in question. the 5 1/2 wide one with the broken stripe.

This is the 6 inch width, and rare to find. has the solid stripe.

Actually, there is no "A" in front of that part number in the Mercedes part number database. If you punch that number into our search engine, it comes up available directly from the Mercedes parts network: Pelican Parts - Automotive Parts and Accessories - Porsche & BMW

It is probably a given that some or all of us who drive these old Mercedes, and especially the smoker variety, may not be the most embracing people when it comes to accepting change .

However, aside from the time needed to learn the new navigation, I don't have any issue with the site update. I shop online on an ongoing basis at stores whose sites are updated from one year to the next in ways that change how I interact with them.

I see it this way: in terms of how the changes have taken place here, we could be doing a LOT worse. No one's call has been routed to a call centre in Bangalore.

Complaints about some features of the initial design have been addressed within 24 hrs.

Right now we have the CEO of the parent company engaging in ongoing one-on-one assistance for a parts search.

FOR HUB CAB RETAINER CLIPS.

Of course I don't expect Wayne will be doing customized personal searches every day.... But in the real world of 2012, and doubly so for online e-commerce, evidence of commitment to the client base doesn't get any better than that.

That's my $0.02.

I like the store

After comparing prices and selection to the other online store I usually shop at, I purchased rotors, bearings and wiper blades for a good price from Pelican Parts. Am I the first one on this thread to spend money at the new store?

I think that the free shipping should be a set amount for the entire order. Is it because these parts are coming from different locations that you guys can't do that?

It seems like you can find an Antenna mast for a 300SD just about anywhere online; if you guys had that, I probably would have purchased it. I was surprised to see Bundt rip offs and dash covers in the catalog, not things I'm interested in, but pretty cool to see all of it in one place.

Unfortunately, the 1987 300D was a one-year only car, which makes finding some specific parts difficult sometimes. We do sell the Genuine calipers for this car. I checked some other sites and some of them don't even have your car listed! Still, I will take a look to see if the missing front calipers is simply a cataloging error.

Thanks,

Wayne
