Does anyone know the size of the return and vent fuel hoses (under the car at the rear beneath the tank) for an 82 300D?

Is this hose you buy by the meter and cut to length?

The regular 5/16" Fuel Hose you can buy at the Auto Part Chains Stores is rated for diesel.
Once the Fuel I drained out of the Tank you can remove the Hose that screws into the Fuel Tank Screen and Fil or grind off the crimped on Collar and yank the old Hose off. Under it is a regular Hose Barb.
Replace that Hose with a section of Hose and the needed Clamps.

The cost is about x3 more but if you want what has been said to be Viton lined hose buy Fuel Injection Hose. The GoodYear Version has a blue inner lining of generic Viton.

Wish I had known that... I already bought a replacement feed hose and new tank screen. Oh well.

The return hoses are in really bad shape -- swelled to the point that I thought they were a different size from the feed hose!

You can still salvage the Brass Hose Barb on the old Hose.
