Just a word of thanks to all members and moderators. I've found this board to be overwhelmingly helpful and friendly. There is another MB forum out there but I found it to have a completely different tone and not as helpful.

This forum does. I started browsing mercedesshop when I became very interested in MB's... (started off with W124)

This place is actually the reason why I bought a diesel. I've fixed a couple of things myself by reading through the posts here...

The thing I like about this forum vs the other 2 is that there are technically knowledgeable contributors, experimenters and innovators, and just good old whackos with great senses of humour, (You know who you are!) who have wild tales of dieseldom to tell. These stodgy old diesels are definitely not your sedate grandpas car. The car attracts an interesting and diverse following.
