AC Manifold Torque Spec

FSM says 50NM but the literature that came with the compressor says 36NM. The new compressor is stepped ported. Old one is oring. What is the consensus? Any success with using the stepped port seal?

A totally leak-free seal is just about impossible. Partly because one pipe has no pilot, which that type of seal really needs.

Thanks for the reply. So 36NM it is. The kit came with inserts but they were too small.
