BAAAACK in the wagon again!
There's something comforting about driving a wagon, turbo shrieking, belts squaking, and other unknown items making noise...enojoying lukewarm heat through just the defroster and a roaring fan, listening to the radio through 1 speaker while using the cupholder at the end of your arm :)
Borrowing my buddie's wagon for a couple days, it makes me miss my W123 and makes me very thankful for my normal DD...split diesel personality perhaps? |
Sounds like a very un-maintained wagon to me! My bro's 300D has tight suspension, blistering powerful heat, no squeaks/turbo shriek and the radio works fine.....cupholders are not needed, drink at home not in the car. :D

Makes me really wish I had bought a wagon instead of the sedan. Couldn't beat no rust 300D for $1800 though with ~200K on the clock.

It might not be showroom perfect, but I still like driving it every now and then :)
It's a work in progress...there's a VNT, manifolds, intercooler, etc. waiting to be installed. Some pics: |
There's nothing like a Wagon...
I wouldnt trade it for any other car.... |

You bet! It's my favorite $6 solution to set the wastegate. A Slime tire gauge is 2" though, much easier to read. |
