Center console access

I know I should be in the audio area, but I did not get any suggestion on how to remove the radio in my 1984 300D. it does not work, but lights up when lights area on. I wanted to see if the mice living in the car before I got it did any damage to any wires preventing the radio not working and gain access to the center console to verify any vacuum hose not connected. thank you.

Remove the ash tray, then remove the 2 phillip screws. then remove the ashtray frame, there is the electrical plug for the cigarette lighter on the left side, unplug it.

then the radio will slide out, usually does.

Original Becker that has never been touched requires pulling off the faceplate to reveal the fasteners.

Go to beckerautosound.com for the details.

What kind of radio is it?

Analog tuner or digital?
