Where is cruise amp on 83 240D?

Need to pull cruise amp on my new 240D. Is it in and around steering column (like on my 124) or somewhere else?

Thanks.

IIRC, the plastic end of the amp is blue. I think it is in a similar location, left of the column....

It is vertical just to the left of the brake pedal bracket.

There is a 10 mm bolt that holds the amp can to the brake pedal bracket.

It is accessed from the right side of the pedal bracket.

Don't take out the 2 Phillips screws, that gets you nowhere.

I believe the 240`s with an automatic has the CC bolted verticle to the left of the brake peddle.

When the Clutch Peddle is added, then the CC is mounted to the plastic under dash panel. the panel above the knees.

So you mean right below the steering column?

Yes, pop out the 3 plastic cover clips along the front edge, then the 3 phillip screws.
there is a grey plastic screw on each lower corner/side, turn it 180 and pull out. then the panel will drop down.

Drivers side
