Identify this Part?

Troubleshooting my climate control today - just replaced the foam tube for the temperature sensor and while I have the glove box out I'm digging around. Noticed a white box wrapped in foam insulation with two spade connectors - there are also two female spade connector wires in the vicinity that someone has jumpered together (presumably to cut the box out of the circuit). What is this thing? I'm hopeful that it will help me figure out why my blower motor comes on only sporadically. [Picture borrowed and modified from dmorrison's writeup on dash removal - thank you].

yeah, it's the evap low temp compressor cut out switch. when they fail open, the compressor will not run. it has no effect on the blower, sorry. with it bypassed like you have it now, there is no protection for the compressor if the temp gets too low, and you can slug liquid into the compressor, severely damaging it.

Thank You

Thanks - my a/c has never worked (I cut one of the lines when I swapped the motor). I figure that's a luxury I'll get to someday. Being in Colorado, heat is far more important!

At any rate, thanks for ID'ing that thing for me - gotta love this forum. Post a question, eat a bowl and soup and bam, instant answer. Much appreciated.
