The major good used parts transport thread

If you are taking a trip, and are able - willing to carry parts.

Here is where you can post your trip route, and discuss what you can carry.

Major used parts are:
* Engine.
* Transmission.
* Drive shaft.
* Rear axle assembly or major sections.
* Wheels.
* Seats.
* Fenders.
* Hood.
* Rear deck lid.
* Door.
* Sunroof assembly.
* Etc, = to bulky-costly for normal shipping.

Note:
The forum (PelicanParts) is not involved and bears NO liability for anything here.
The complete transport-transaction is between members, assumed to be competent adults = buyer beware.

good idea

Roy.

This is a good idea. Do you think the used parts forum might be a better place for it? Could it always be on the top?

I'm in the "next trip" planning stages and willing to carry parts for others along the way. I have limited storage, so me holding something as a lay over point is difficult at best.

Seattle Bound????

Anyone driving to Seattle or up into that neck of the woods? Even if you just get it to Denver and it could be dropped off at a forum member's place who might be driving to Seattle.

Tom has a tranny that will probably work
I have a tranny that might fit.
StaggerLee needs a tranny.

See this thread for the details:
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-used-parts-sale-wanted/312092-wtb-220d-240d-4-speed-manual.html

I understand StaggerLee not wanting to pay shipping on a transmission. So is anyone driving to Seattle soon? Maybe a tranny will be the first test of this concept.
