'79 W123, How to remove AC Belt?
I have a W123 with AC compressor on the TOP passenger side of the engine. I cant seem to find the bolts to loosen the unit to slip the belt off. The pictures in the WIS are very unhelpful.
If anyone could post color pictures of theirs, that would be MUCH appreciated. Thank You! |

Doesn't it have an idler pulley on the opposite side of the engine? If so, that arm loosens up, probably with a 19mm socket.

Yep it has an Idler pulley. I didnt know the pulley loosened up. I ended up just cutting the belt off. The idler has a slight rattle to it.
