1 Attachment(s)
Not that im complaining I already know diesal are loud and Ive gotten use to it but sometimes when I get diesel from other stations other than the usual one it tends to sound alot louder and burn a whole lot more am I getting paronoid or is there something else up.

I have noticed some not so subtle differences in performance and engine sound with different fuel purchases. It seems though, that the red-line products help to minimize this. Nice car though, it looks just like mine! What color interior? Mine is blue.

Ya I always put redline before I fill up, I dont know why the car could be so loud now, also if you adjust the injection pump can that make the engine sound louder or quieter, I just think Hess isnt good to buy Diesel at, by the way my cars seats are beige not blue but it is a 1982 like yours, it has over 250,000 miles but the guy a bought it from which is my uncles friend loved the car so much and put a new engine, he screwed the last engine because he forgot about a little thing called changing the oil.

Well then it's a mystery! I don't know if my engine has ever been rebuilt but it sure runs nice. It show no indication of high mileage in th way it runs and has almost no oil consumption. I hope your excess noise is nothing serious. You could possibly check and retighten all of the exhaust manifold bolts and any other relative connections. I once did this on my 70 Caddillac and it quieted a lot of mystery noises.

I had the problem of excess noise. My problem was the downpipe had broken into 2 peices. :D
