I couldn't resist buying a URO center support and bearing for $12 just to see what it looked like. I have always used Lemforder or OEM for flex disc/ ball joints over the years and I am going to install two flex discs and a center support/bearing in the next few days to try and get rid of the drive line vibration in my 1995 E300D.

OEM flex disc was $62 front, $42 rear, support & bearing $34 ..not too bad considering the confidence in knowing you will have to do the job less often.

The biggest problem for me will be getting the car high enough to remove the exhaust pipes. Maybe about 3 feet high.

I tried to attach the photo comparison but all attempts failed.

Did you actually use the URO Support/Bearing?

If you did use the URO, you might find they're really not that cheap after you have to replace your airbags and control module when your drive shaft slams the transmission tunnel after the flex disk fails.

JUST TO SEE WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE! and post some photos of them here for other members to see....but that didn't work out on this site for some reason.
Side by side comparison shows the many differences in quality, can't gauge the quality of the actual bearing but the rubber looks very crude and uneven.

You might have to resize the pictures.

Please read my post. I bought it just to see what it looked like, and if looks are any indication of quality, it fails.

The PO of my '77 replaced the center support and bearing with a URO version a month before I purchased the car. It lasted about 4,000 miles before the rubber tore completely apart all the way around.

Granted, the collapsed motor and tranny mounts probably hastened its demise, but that's still pretty bad.

I sent photos to the above poster, as requested, through email a long time ago but they never got posted here.
Photo upload always fails here yet I can post on other sites...makes me wonder why.
URO has gotten very poor reviews here on virtually every part they make, better not to take a chance imo.

I bought URO flex discs before I knew any better...I wont install them, nor will I even sell them...i'm going to hang them on the wall as a reminder of what not to do.
