85 300sd what is it worth??

I have considered this car. But it has alot of little problems. Things that I know that are wrong: shocks front and rear real loose, 1 window won't work, will only put heat out when you start the car when hot, then it gets real cold. Has no power which I think is valves and air leaks in turbo piping connections. Makes a whistle sound when tranny shifts. Seems to shift very good. All seats and sunroof works. AC was converted and all new parts a year ago big $$ on receipt. oil change reciepts for the whole life of car in glove box. Seems to drain battery turned off. Body and paint in good condition, no rust and never been wrecked that I can tell. Cracked dash and top of door panels. It has 235000 on it.
Receipts seem to add up to the right milage. Drives real straight and stops great. No power scares me though. My 300td has been easy to keep alive so I think I can bring this one back. what would you guys offer on a rare piece like this. Also has new tires.
Advice is welcome Thanks Alan

Ive been looking for a nice 1981-84 300SD for myself someday and damn do the prices vary on the used car market. The tranny is a 2K job if that goes, the lack of power could be a clogged fuel line/fliter or a turbo problem.
A picture is worth a thousand words, got one?

With the discription you gave, if the outside/underside is rust free, id say $2700-$3200 is fair, if it needs a turbo, $2500.

I can not find any rust. Turbo is spinning up but it sounds like it is leaking from all of the loose connections. My 300td is real tight and if I forget to tighten the pipes I loose power. But not like this one. I can not find a reciept for valves but there are plenty for eveything else. Considering offering $3000. There is thjat in receipts in the last 2 years. Love the looks though, way better than my 300td and it has room.

Provided that it doesn't need a new turbo or transmission, I have a feeling that most of that stuff isn't too huge. Fuel filters, valve adjustments, window switch, all relatively minor items. If the battery problem isn't with the battery itself, alternator attention might be needed, or, it could just be a loose belt not recharging the battery properly. Could just be a bad battery. The heat problem is simply a mono valve fix which'll cost you about $22. Good luck, I think that model's a nice car.

I'm not sure what to say about the lack of power, but if the engine isn't really that good I'd probably give around $3000 max.
